Buttermilk Fried Onions

Thin onion rings in buttermilk batter, deep fried till golden brown. Here you can get simple and easy Buttermilk Fried Onions recipe.
 
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 15 minutes
    Makes 4 to 6 servings
 
Ingredients
Onions 4
Plain flour (Maida) 1 1/4 cups
ANANDA BUTTERMILK 1 cup
Freshly ground black pepper powder 1 tsp
Baking soda a pinch
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Method
  • Peel and cut the onions into rings. Keep aside.
  • Make a batter of pouring consistency with the flour, buttermilk, black pepper powder, soda bi-carb and salt.
  • Dip the onion rings in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown in colour.
  • Drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve hot.
Tips
  • To make the onion rings crisper, add 1/2 teaspoon of corn flour to the batter.
